2 years ago engaged

My sweetie proposed to me 2 years ago today. We were married 4 months later. We will be married 2 years in June. Time does fly! We've done a lot! Travelled across the country, seen mountains and oceans, numerous sunsets, enjoyed countless hours of fun with family and friends: it's been great. We've gotten lots of projects done around the house: painting, rearranging, deep cleaning,organizing...
The latest traveling was to the National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville Kentucky. With my new job position and hours, I was able to go down on Thursday with a friend and spend the weekend with Bryce there. It was a lot of fun. The show is very overwhelming: there is so much to see and so many people there! I'm very thankful we were able to spend time together. He even took me out for valentines day.
Our latest painting project has been the airplane room
Rachel and Sam helped me remove the previous airplane border ( it was a booger to take down) and Bryce, Sam, and I painted. I also made the yellow curtains.

The reason for this project is, well, there is going to be a little Peanut joining us in August and we want to have as much done as possible ahead of time :):)
We are so excited and cannot wait to hold him/her in our arms!

Went to a meeting :)

Yesterday Bryce had a dealer meeting. Since I had the day free I tagged along because I hadn't been to one of his meetings before. I'm glad I went. It was a lot of fun to listen to him talk and to talk to the dealers and just be Mrs.Baker. The place where he had the meeting was beautiful: Metamora Fields Golf Course. We had had the Christmas party there this last winter.  It is a really nice location and the food was great. Bryce had a nice turn out for the meeting and I think the dealers appreciated him taking time to explain the new programs.

Christmas and snow

Our Christmas festivities began with opening presents with Grampa and Alice on the 22. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures if it, but if you go to mom's blog dkwhitakerfamily.blogspot.com you can see what all went down there :)
Brenda came to our house on the 23rd and went with us to Whitaker Christmas at Gramma and Grampa Whitakers on Christmas Eve. Everyone but Nick and Esther were there. It was a fun day of food, games, stories, and mischief.

Christmas Eve is also mom and dads anniversary And Brenda's birthday. So after we left the grandparents, we went to Garry and Carols to have a party for her:)
Christmas Day we went to mom and dads and had breakfast and opened presents. So much fun. I think I enjoy watching the little kids unwrap their gifts more than unwrapping them myself. They get so excited!!
The day after Christmas we had breakfast and presents with the Bakers here at home.
That weekend we were so privileged and blessed and excited to have the peterson's over! We had a lot of fun catching up and taught them how to play Dutch blitz.
We also got the chance to go up to Wisconsin to visit gramma and Grampa smith for a couple days. Lots of rummikube and scrabble and uno were played.
Last night we took down the Christmas decorations while it was still warm and took our tree up to Morton to be mulched up. I tried making broccoli casserole from Renee's cookbook and I must say it was quite the success. Very yummy.

We didn't go to church today due to the weather. If is blowing and snowing and cold!!! We had planned on going to a globe trotters game with some friends but decided not too. The roads are just too nasty.

The screened porch isn't exactly tight As you can tell... The fire helps against the frigid weather! Hope everybody stays warm and safe during the storm.

Warmth, Lunch, and Ice Skating

I am absolutely living our wood burner right now. It makes the house very warm and cozy.
I had lunch with these fun loving people at the ginger bistro. Don't they look thrilled ? Some of us were going to go ice skating afterwards, but claiming oncoming frostbite, three if them bailed so just two of us took up the ice skating challenge.

The skates are hard to tie!
Needless to say we had a blast and warmed up with Starbucks afterwards!
