Happy daddy's day!

This picture doesn't quite do justice , but that is my wonderful daddy. I am very proud to be his little girl. He always has advice, words of wit and wisdom, always is looking and thinking about spiritual things and sharing them with his family. He also has an onery streak and loves to play around with all of us kids. He is a great dad:)

I don't have a picture of Garry, my daddy in law, but that's ok he's still worth mentioning. He is a blessing too. He always has advice, and a turn of a phrase that makes you laugh and a definite way of doing things. He often tells of the interesting things he has read or heard. Often spiritual thoughts. 

And a special shout out to the daddy to be in my life. He is already in love with our little guy and he hasn't even met him yet. He is gonna be a great daddy. :)

2 Years and counting !

Two years ago today I married the man of my dreams. Actually he has turned out way to to be way better than the man of my dreams. He makes me feel so loved and cherished and special and cared for and proud to be his wife. We are truly blessed to have each other and to be part of each other's lives. God has blessed us incredibly much. I can't wait to see what the next several years hold! 

Happy birthday Bryce!

My wonderful husband's birthday was at the end of May. To celebrate we had our families come over for supper, presents, and ice cream cake. He had a really great day. :)

Baker Family May 2014

Well, here we are as of May 2014. Our little Peanut is growing quite rapidly. August doesn't seem that far away now.Or maybe he'll come in September. Who knows?! We are very excited to get to meet this little man. The next couple months will be busy with summer activities and getting the house organized and birthdays and anniversaries and just everyday life.

Baskets

Awhile back I had bought some baskets for the nursery to put diapers, wipes, powder, and other necessary baby items in. They had a cute blue polka dot cover on them, but I had rather'd keep with the theme of the room of yellow and greens and whites. So after looking up a really easy tutorial on YouTube, I went to work. And they were super easy to do! And so quick! I am very pleased with my little John Deere baskets.

Gardening and such

Saturday was a day of gardening and yard work. 

Bryce had just finished chasing the chickens out of the garden. They weren't understanding they couldn't be over there and eat what we were planting. 

Here they are by the coop. 

I did some  cleanup in flagpole flower bed. It was being overcome by clover.

All done! We have potatoes, onions, peppers, tomatoes, lettuce,radishes,carrots, peas, sweet corn, cucumbers, punkins, and Indian corn. 

This little guy was hanging out on the side of the house. We've been hearing them a lot in the evening. 

Sunday after church we went to Springfield to have a little date and finish up the baby registry. 

I think it's pretty self explanatory why we are here. They had really good pie:)

The field around our house was sprayed Tuesday and was worked up and planted 

Wednesday. 

Wednesday after work I went over to mom and dads to hang out. We had pizza and planned the upcoming girls trip. Caleb was pooped after playing outside all day so he passed out on the couch. 

The cows had gotten into an area they weren't supposed to be in so we went out and helped dad corral them back in see mom's blog (dkwhitakerfamily.blogspot.com) to get details and more pix of that. 

It was quite a beautiful evening.

Today just doing cleaning and organizing around home. Got a head start on tonight's supper too.
