The Baker's Bake :)

I whipped up a double batch of grammas roll dough and we made 5 loaves of bread, 1 loaf of cinnamon bread, 1 dozen cinnamon rolls and 3 tea braids. I roped this handsome fella into helping me so he could learn the trade :) he did a great job :) the house smells amazing now!

Warmth, Lunch, and Ice Skating

I am absolutely living our wood burner right now. It makes the house very warm and cozy. 

I had lunch with these fun loving people at the ginger bistro. Don't they look thrilled ? Some of us were going to go ice skating afterwards, but claiming oncoming frostbite, three if them bailed so just two of us took up the ice skating challenge. 

The skates are hard to tie!

Needless to say we had a blast and warmed up with Starbucks afterwards!

Peoria Farm Show with the boys

Thursday I had the opportunity to join Dad, Sam, Dan , and Jaketo walk around the Peoria farm show. I didn't tell Bryce we were going so we surprised him since he was working at the show. 

The boys had a great time. They wanted to climb into every piece of equipment and play with the "games" aka displays. 

Thanksgiving

We were very excited and blessed  to have Bryce's parents, his sister Brenda, his grandparents, my grandparents, and my family over for thanksgiving dinner. There was tons of delicious food and great conversation and fun and memories. We got to sing together and play together and even start a fire in the wood burner to get the house cozy warm     . Then on Friday we shopped til we dropped and ate at granite city. Yummy! Saturday Brenda had to leave, but not before learning how to shoot. More posts on that later when I can get videos to load. 

It is the day before thanksgiving

I started my day early to get a jump start on bread making. I used grammas trusty recipe and made 3 loaves of bread and 2 dozen cinnamon rolls. They turned out beautiful. 

We put the extra leaves in the table so we could fit everyone 

We also fit in a haircut for this handsome guy. He was getting shaggy. 

Mmm!! Look at the yummy bread!

Bryce brought up more wood so we could have a fire going during these chilly days 

He had been waiting so long for some homemade fresh from the oven bread:) 

I can't wait to dig into these!

Also took time to make a peach pie fir dessert

We are really excited to be hosting family for thanksgiving . We are very blessed!
