The Biltmore

Why would someone a rich single man build such a big house for just him? Well, George Vanderbilt liked having people over, he like comfort, the latest and greatest in technology, nature,art, history and books... And so he fit it in a 175,000 square feet. The largest residential house in the U.S. the Biltmore is definately worth going and seeing! So much history so much to see! Gardens, stables, only a handful of the 102 bedrooms, the resturant in the stables, incredible architecture. We definately had to buy the book so we could remember all that we saw.

Waterfall and a Date

We ventured into Great Smokey Mountain National park to marvel at God's creation. We hiked up to Laurel Falls, it was absolutely gorgeous! So pretty!

Just a little nap!

We got all dressed up and went to a neat Hibachi grill in town. I think we clean up pretty nicely!

Goin's On at the Baker's

No, you still haven't seen all the pix of the honeymoon, and you will soon, but here is some happenings around here. We went to a concert, organized around the house, Bryce went to the Farm Progress show,and constructed an AWESOME clothesline 



Bryce got a pretty rose when he was on his trip...hmm wonder who it was from?

This is a heavy duty clothesline! 6x6's and fence tighteners to ward off saggy lines. It works great! I LOVE it!
